Last week, sales of Valve Index VR headset and its new controllers started. The manufacturer planned to «deliver home» the first batch on June 29, but the quality of gadgets, according to customers, leaves much to be desired. Users massively complained of sticking or no reaction at all to pressing the buttons of the controllers, but the sound in the headphones pleasantly pleased. It is possible that the first batch will be withdrawn.
A full set of VR Index costs about $1,000 (which is almost twice as expensive as the already known $399 the Oculus Rift or $499 HTC Vive). The set includes base stations tracking generation 2,0, controllers and the virtual reality helmet itself (HMD).
